Why it goes wrong
The most common mistake is to start selling first and add record-keeping later: nobody counted the opening stock, so stock doesn't match from the very first month. The second is typing the product range in by hand, which fills it with barcode and price errors. The third is one shared password for all cashiers: afterwards you can't tell who sold what.
How to do it in Termino
- 1
Company and brand
The Termino team fills in your company details when they open your account. On the “Settings” page you fill in “Brand name” and “Merchant logo”, which appear on the receipt.
- 2
Branch
A branch is the place where a till works and stock is kept. Add it on the “Branches” page with the “Add branch” button.
- 3
Till and setup code
On the “Cashdesks” page, add a till for the branch. The system shows you a six-digit “Setup code”, which connects the till installed on the store's computer to your company.
- 4
Cashiers, each with their own PIN
On the “Employees” page every cashier has their own name and 4-digit PIN, so every sale and shift belongs to a specific person. You add a manager or accountant as a website user, with access only to the pages they need.
- 5
Categories and sizes
Every product needs a category, so first create “Categories”, for example "Drinks". For a clothing or shoe store, set up “Sizes” there as well.
- 6
Products from an Excel file
Bring in your whole product range at once on the “Import products” page: click “Download template”, fill in the file and upload it. You add a single product with the “Add product” button, and if an item has no barcode, the “Generate” button creates an internal one.
- 7
Opening stock
Count the goods on your shelves and enter the quantities when you add products, branch by branch. After that, new goods come in with the “Add purchase” button, and on the Pro plan also from RS.ge waybills.
- 8
Receipt
On the “Ticket receipt” page, choose what is printed on the customer's receipt: logo, branch address, QR code and extra text. You see each change right away on the sample receipt.
The full guide, with screenshots, is in the Termino system once you sign in. It is in Georgian for now.

How long does it take to switch to POS software?
It depends on the size of your product range: if you bring products in from an Excel file, counting the opening stock takes the most time. In Termino everything you add is saved straight away, so you can prepare bit by bit.
Can I move my products over from another program?
Yes, if your old program lets you download your products as an Excel or CSV file. Termino recognises column headings in Georgian, English and Russian, so such a file often uploads as it is on the “Import products” page; if not, move the columns into Termino's template. Before anything is saved, Termino shows you every row and any problem in it.
Why can't I add a product?
A product needs a branch and a category. If either is missing, Termino's “Products” page tells you which one and takes you to the right page.
How many products can I add?
Up to 300 on Termino's Lite plan, and unlimited on the Pro and Individual plans. Your plan's limit and your usage are shown in the system under “Settings” → “Subscription”.
The “Add” button is greyed out. Why?
Your plan's limit has been reached, for example one branch or one till on the Lite plan. To change your plan, contact your Termino account manager.
