Why it goes wrong
In a shop where consultants work the floor, the till is often run by whoever opened the shift in the morning, and every sale goes under their name. At the end of the month you can't tell who sold how much, and bonuses are shared out by eye. If you close the shift and open a new one each time, the drawer gets counted mid-shift and the day breaks into lots of small shifts. One shift, with the salesperson's name on every sale, solves both problems.
How to do it in Termino
- 1
Turn cashier switching on
In the system, open “Settings” → “Company Info” → “Configuration” and turn on “Switch cashiers during a shift”. It is on every plan and off by default. Tills pick up the change at their next sync, and need the latest till version for it.
- 2
Decide whether a PIN is needed
Right below is “Require PIN when switching cashiers”, on by default. When it is on, the till asks for the chosen cashier's PIN, so nobody can sell under someone else's name. When it is off, picking the name is enough: that is faster, but a sale can end up under the wrong name by mistake.
- 3
Assign every salesperson to the branch
Each consultant needs their own cashier account and PIN. Add them on the “Employees” page and assign them to the branch they work in: the till's list shows only that branch's cashiers.
- 4
The salesperson switches to their own name
On the till, tap the cashier's name in the top right corner. “Switch cashier” opens with the question “Who is selling now?”: pick the name and, if the till asks, enter the PIN. A message such as “Now selling: Nino” appears, and from then on sales, returns, cash in and cash out are recorded under that cashier.
- 5
Everyone has their own cart, and the opener closes the shift
Each cashier has their own cart and parked orders: switching away keeps an unfinished cart, and it is waiting when you switch back. Only the cashier who opened the shift can end it: while someone else is selling, the button says, for example, “Only Nino”. If anyone still has a parked order, the till won't end the shift until it is sold or deleted. The drawer is counted once, at the end of the shift.
- 6
See who sold what in the system
On the “Sales” page every sale has a “Cashier” column: filter by it to see one person's sales. In the “Shifts” report, the “Opened by” column shows who opened each shift, and clicking a shift's row opens all of that shift's sales, by every cashier.
The full guide, with screenshots, is in the Termino system once you sign in. It is in Georgian for now.

How do I work out a consultant's bonus?
Termino doesn't calculate bonuses itself, but every sale is stored under the cashier who made it. In the system, on the “Sales” page, filter the “Cashier” column and you see all of that person's sales.
Does cashier switching work without internet?
Yes. When the PIN is required, the Termino till can only switch offline to a cashier who has signed in on that till at least once before. Switching back to the cashier who opened the shift works offline too.
If the cashier who opened the shift has left, who ends it?
In Termino only the cashier who opened a shift can end it. Someone who knows their PIN can switch to them and end the shift; the till has no other way, such as a manager override. So the shift should be opened by whoever stays until closing.
Whose is the drawer difference if several people were selling?
In Termino the drawer is counted once, at the end of the shift, so the difference belongs to the whole shift and shows under the opener's name in the “Shifts” report. Each sale and each cash out is still stored under its own cashier.
Is it available on the Lite plan?
Yes, cashier switching is on every Termino plan. On Lite you can add up to 4 cashiers; on Pro cashiers are unlimited.
